    Job Description
    Direct Report:  Executive Director                
    Position Type:  Part-time, hourly
    Wages: 18.00 to 20.00

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Research and apply for applicable grants, funding and fundraising opportunities to support the organization’s programs as required
    • Complete administrational responsibilities including, but not limited to: filing, office organization, required paperwork etc.
    • Oversee and develop the organization’s social media presence, including maintaining the company’s website
    • Keep constant communication between yourself and the Executive Director
    • Assist the team in different areas (warehouse etc.) as required
    • Write up work procedures for all tasks for training purposes as assigned by the Executive Director (ongoing)
     
    Skills and Experience
    • 2 + years’ experience working in an administrative position, preferably within a client centered organization, while utilizing social media for program promotion and community involvement
    • Experience with grant research, applications and fundraising
    • Completion of a diploma/secondary education in an Administration field (an asset)
    • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database software to prepare written correspondence, statistical reports, promotional and resource materials
    • Great organization skills with the ability to file paperwork accurately and on a daily schedule
    • Strong social media skills with experience posting and creating campaigns using a variety of platforms (Twitter, Facebook etc.)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills (verbal and written), technical skills, and time management skills, working independently within a restricted, fast-paced environment, or as part of a team.
    • Highly adaptable and able to deal with frequent changes in the work environment
    • Strong ability to maintain personal and professional boundaries while understanding and upholding to the organizations confidentiality policy
