    Reception/Ticket Services Representative
    Castrol Raceway: Where Adrenaline Lives! Working with a company built on excitement and strong community commitment means the work will definitely be interesting. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a positive initial experience at the Castrol Raceway office. This experience is created by aiding guests with accurate event information and assisting them in purchasing and/or picking up tickets to Catrol Raceway events. This position is expected to work cohesively with all employees of Castrol Raceway in maintaining an extreme level of guest service.
    Full availability for this position, which may include nights, weekends and/or holidays. Position requires some extensive weekend hours for special events plus may be on call during off-hours to assist in last minute events, emergencies and/or rain out/delays. Working hours guidelines:
    • January, February, March: 8:30am-4:30pm (Tuesday – Friday 4 days per week)
    • April – December:  8:30am-4:30pm (5 days per week)
    • May, June, July, Aug - Periodic special events extra hours over the Summer Season
    • Responsible for Welcoming and interacting with all guests
    • Requires constant interaction with guests including answering questions, providing directions, event information and other services to help create a memorable experience
    • Provide reception services for members of staff: answer telephone, screen and direct calls, take and relay messages
    • General administrative and clerical support, prepare letters and documents, receive and sort mail and deliveries
    • Provide all guests a positive first impression of Castrol Raceway by offering superior, individualized guest service.
    • Accurately operate the Tix.com computer ticketing system to sell and print tickets for Castrol Raceway events.
    • Manage telephone, in person and postal ticket bookings and reservations during scheduled hours, by using the computerized, and in emergencies manual, box office system, ensuring that all bookings are made through Tix.com in an efficient and accurate manner
    • Problem-solve by effectively communicating with guests to locate and deliver will-call/guest list tickets.
    • Provide information regarding Castrol Raceway events and facilities via face-to-face communication, and e-mail telephone.
    • Assist with miscellaneous box office projects as directed.
    • Prepare and maintain facility Box Office materials required for gates
    • Maintain various facility gate records to properly ensure a trouble free entry off all guests

    • Must be of 18 years of age
    • Capability of communicating positively and enthusiastically with guests to establish their needs efficiently and courteously; strong verbal communication skills
    • Should have cash handling capabilities, Skill to handle cash responsibly and accurately; handling credit card and cheque payments for tickets on a daily basis.
    • Ability to develop a growing knowledge of Tix.com
    • Computer skills: you will be using Windows based software on a daily basis.
    • Ability to multi task and work in a very fast paced environment
    • Demonstrated ability to own and resolve guest situations
    • Receptive to special requests
    • Able to make independent decisions for our guests
    • Self-directed (can complete tasks with minimal supervision)
    • Willing to follow instructions & take direction

    • Experience of a customer service/ retail environment
