    The Opportunity

    We are currently looking to hire a Full-time Permanent Assistant Manager, Communications for our growing company based in Edmonton, AB. You’ll get to work with an entrepreneurial organization where you will gain valuable experience in the field of home care.

    As the Assistant Manager, Communications, you will be primarily responsible for:

    • Building and executing a marketing and communications plan in your community that promotes CarePros, driving participation and support
    • Leading and supporting the communications team building and executing various campaign sand ensuring their tasks are completed
    • Reporting to the Manager of Communications with relevant KPIs in regards to the campaigns that are being managed
    • Building partnerships to create awareness around the community about the organization through media releases, email messages, and social media channels
    • Identify key performance indicators and conduct post-mortem assessments.
    • Provide high-quality communications advice, timely research and recommendations to help solve challenges and manage risk.
    • Ensure all communications adhere to brand standards, both visually and in tone.

    Who You Are

    The following are the required qualifications for this role:
    • A degree in Communications, Journalism, Writing, or Public Relations or related combination of education and experience
    • A minimum of 5 years’ communications, public relations, or marketing experience
    • A degree in Communications, Journalism, Writing, or Public Relations or related combination of education and experience
    • Experience managing and leading a team
    • experience developing and implementing communication plans and campaigns
    • Understanding of the integration of people, processes and technology needed to implement change
    • Knowledge of strategic policies, practices and principles of communications
    • Outstanding skills in drafting communication plans, bulletins, articles, presentations, communication tool kits, speeches, and other documents
    • Strong ability to manage organizational challenges
    • Technical ability to create and distribute digital communications using a variety of software programs
    • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and make the best decision based on the information available in a fast-paced and fluid environment
