    Graduates of NorQuest College’s Practical Nurse and Health Care Aide programs are also Difference Makers in terms of the health care that Albertans receive. Our students prepare for their clinical experiences with theory and hands-on learning in multiple modes of delivery, and we are proud of the varied and robust learning experiences in our programs. We utilize low and high fidelity simulation to augment the learner experience, providing students with a safe learning environment to practice and reflect.

    How you’ll make a difference

    As a NorQuest Instructor, you will facilitate learning in in a variety of health care settings in Edmonton and surrounding area, so the ability to travel to these sites is a requirement. Our clinical sites include both acute and continuing care.

    Instructors help our learners acquire the knowledge, skills and attitude to be successful and safe practitioners within their scope of practice. You will need to possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and have a passion for providing instruction and feedback that allows our students to apply skills in a safe and patient-centered way.

    The hours of work are usually day time, Monday to Friday; however clinical rotations may include   evening or weekend components. Casual instructors teaching in the clinical setting are needed to commit to a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks of full time hours at a time.  Note that clinical courses do not run over the holiday break (December 19 – January 3rd).

    You must have the ability to travel to clinical sites in Edmonton and surrounding area.

    What you bring

    • RN or LPN; a degree is an asset
    • Clinical experience: at least one year of full-time clinical nursing or nursing education experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience)
    • Current CARNA or CLPNA registration
    • Current CPR

    SALARY: Reflective upon what you bring. AKA your education and experience. This opportunity also includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.
