We are currently seeking applications for an Intermediate Mechanical Designer with the energy, education and skills to join our design team. Are you uninspired working on the same standard designs every day? We’re truly a custom trailer manufacturer and our designers work on complete trailers not just a single part.
The Intermediate Mechanical Designer at Aspen holds a position on our engineering team that manages the entire product development cycle, from concept and design to manufacture. You will provide design and analysis in a multi-project environment designing heavy haul lowbed trailers and transporters including pneumatic and hydraulic systems design. When you’re not designing, you’re investigating technical problems and finding solutions, responding to production and sales requests that only the engineering team can answer or out in the field learning how our customers use their trailers.

• Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma, required
• 5+ years design experience, required (mobile equipment and construction equipment preferred)
• Solid modeling experience, required
• FEA experience, preferred
• Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, an asset but not required
This is a full-time, salary position. Our office hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Aspen offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
