    General Labourer - Wetaskiwin Hatchery (full job posting HERE)
    Position Summary:
    Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the General Labourer is responsible for the timely and efficient packaging of chicks for shipment to farms, while complying with Humane Handling regulations. Labourers are responsible for visual inspection and quality control that are in line with Maple Leaf safety and quality standards, as well as the customer’s specifications. As well as but not limited to monitoring incubators, transferring eggs from incubators to hatchers, and cleaning & disinfecting equipment and work areas, and other duties as required.

    In addition, the General Labourer will be responsible for mixing vaccines as per instruction and quality standards, monitor vaccine inventory and up keep records. The General Labour will be required to provide a list of order requirements to the supervisor to ensure vaccine inventory is maintained. This position involves computer skills, repetitive work, with a need for speed and accuracy. A high level of hand and upper-arm strength is required.
    Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 6:00am – 2:00pm
    Starting wage is $16.87/hour with an increase every six (6) months

    Manufacturing (hourly) 

    Position Summary:

    Position Type: Part-time, Temporary (3 – 6 month contract) – General Labourer
    This position has the potential to be extended to Full-time, Permanent
    Work Schedule: Shifts are scheduled between Monday - Friday; 5:00am – 3:30pm
    Potential for overtime on Saturday’s
    Starting wage is $17.37/hour
    Start Date: April 2020
