    Municipal By-election Election Workers

    The City of Wetaskiwin is looking for Election Workers to help facilitate the upcoming Municipal By-Election. We are looking for customer-service oriented individuals who can maintain a calm face under stress. Election workers are needed for Advanced Voting Day on September 7, 2019 and for Election Day itself on September 11, 2019.

    Election workers aid the Returning Office on Election Day by:

    • processing voters and explaining the voting procedure;
    • counting ballots and tallying votes at the end of Election Day;
    • helping out with set-up and take down of the voting station.
    To be an election worker you must be:
    • 18 years of age or older on September 11, 2019;
    • able to work in Canada;
    • available for training on August 9, 2019;
    • able to lift 15lbs.
    Remuneration for Election Workers is as follows:
    • $140.00 for Deputy Returning Officers per shift
    • $100.00 for Training
