    Job Description

    King Business Solutions is a growing professional bookkeeping and human resources firm serving Edmonton and surrounding area, along with multiple other provinces in Canada. Our goal is to simplify the lives of our clients, so they can “Do What They Do Best, and Outsource the Rest”.

    We are currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Payroll Specialist to add to the team. This person needs to be detail oriented, accurate and able to work independently.

    This position is based at our Leduc office with some travel to clients within the Edmonton area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide Payroll solutions to our clients
    • Calculate and process Payroll remittances
    • Coordinate correspondence with our clients and their accountants
    • Provide information and assistance to clients
    • Provide support to our team regarding data entry into QuickBooks, Sage (Simply Accounting), Profile T4/T5, AgExpert, Xero, and QBO
    • Complete full cycle bookkeeping on files you are assigned, including but not limited to Bank Reconciliation, Credit Card Reconciliations, Payroll Assistance, Government Remittance Assistance, and Year-end preparation for the file to go to the accountant
    • Provide accurate Word, Excel and Power Point support by composing and/or editing a variety of documents, spreadsheets, or presentations
    Qualifications:
    • Advanced knowledge of Payroll is required; a Payroll designation is an asset.
    • High School diploma and completion of, or enrolled in courses leading to a related diploma in bookkeeping/accounting is required
    • Intermediate knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks, QBO, Xero and Microsoft Office is required
    • Minimum 5 years Payroll/Bookkeeping experience is required
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-starter who is customer service oriented and can work with minimum supervision
