    Transfer Station Attendant
    - open until suitable candidate is found 

    This posting will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.

    We require a casual Transfer Station Attendant to provide casual and back-up coverage for the Leduc County Transfer Stations in the east (and occasionally in the west). Candidates must be available to work Saturdays.

    The Transfer Station Attendant provides service to our residents by directing where waste materials and recyclables are to be unloaded and sorted. The attendant is also required to maintain the transfer station site in an organized condition to promote effective waste management and safety.

    A Class 5 license and the submission of a driver’s abstract found satisfactory to Leduc County are conditions of employment. The candidate best suited will be reliable, able to work effectively and efficiently alone and with others with little or no supervision, and have good communications skills. First Aid certification is an asset.

    The work is mostly outdoors, and as it is year round, subject to all types of weather. The physical job requirements include occasional heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds (35 kg), frequent standing, walking, bending, and snow shovelling in winter.
